Rust electricity, made easy
Electric 101
Pick a build, place the wires one at a time and watch the power flow. Tap any part to see what it does. Made for console players on Benelli 2X.

Skip the fuel and the sun
A Test Generator gives 100 power, forever: no fuel, no wind, no sun, day and night. Nobody can craft one, but on Benelli 2X you can buy it with the Bucks you earn.
Our server’s way
Raid alert
An explosion near your base starts a timer. While the timer runs, an RF Broadcaster sends your private /raidlink frequency, and Kaos pings you in #Raid-Alerts. Five wires, built around an Electrical Branch.
On Benelli 2X
Raid alerts come from Kaos
Free for everyone
- 1In our Discord, type
/raidlink. Kaos replies with your own private frequency. - 2Build the circuit below: 5 wires around an Electrical Branch with Branch Out set to 2. Set the RF Broadcaster to your frequency.
- 3Set the Timer to about 300 seconds. It must be over 120.
- 4When an explosion goes off at your base, Kaos pings you in #Raid-Alerts, about once a minute while the timer runs.
Good to know
- Free for every player, not just VIP.
- You need the player role in our Discord to see #Raid-Alerts. Can’t see it? Open a ticket.
- New wipe, new base: build the circuit again. Your number should carry over; if the pings stop, run /raidlink again and set the new number.
- Someone found out your number? Run /raidlink again for a new one.
- If Kaos asks you to link first, use /link with the Kaos Bot.
- Why over 120 seconds? Kaos’s own video says so. Its pings come about once a minute, so a short signal could be missed.
Waiting. Set off an explosion to test it.

What you need
Settings
- Electrical Branch: Branch Out = 2 (the sensor needs 1).
- RF Broadcaster: your /raidlink frequency.
- Timer: about 300 seconds. It must be over 120.
- Seismic Sensor range: just your base, about 10–15 m.
Tips
- The Seismic Sensor only goes off for explosions (rockets, C4 and explosive ammo), so it’s the most accurate trigger.
- At 30 m range your neighbours’ raids set it off too. Keep it to your base.
- A longer timer means more pings for each explosion.
- Power: a small battery kept charged by one solar panel is plenty. The sensor and broadcaster use about 1 each.
- A Splitter also works instead of the branch: Battery → Splitter (Power In); Splitter (Power Out 1) → Timer (Power In); Splitter (Power Out 2) → Seismic Sensor (Power In). The rest is the same.
- Turret version: swap the Seismic Sensor for a powered Auto Turret and wire its Has Target output into the Timer’s Toggle On. You get pinged whenever the turret sees an enemy.
- Want a siren at your base too? Switch to “Siren at my base” above.
How power works
Sources make it
Large solar panel 0–20 (day only), wind turbine 0–150 (higher makes more), small generator 40 (burns fuel), test generator about 100 (no fuel, day and night: Bucks Store).
Batteries store it
They take everything coming into Power In, keep up to 80% of it, and never give more than their max: small about 10–15, medium 50, large 100. They can charge and power things at the same time.
Passthrough
Each part keeps what it needs and passes the rest on. 20 from a solar panel into ceiling lights (2 each) runs about 9–10 lights; the next one gets 0.
Splitters share evenly
What comes in is shared by the outputs in use: 30 in with 3 used = 10 each. Unused outputs take nothing.
Branches take a set amount
Branch Out gets the amount you set (2 at the lowest) and Power Out gets the rest. Handy for giving a turret exactly 10, then chaining on to the next branch.
Not enough = off
A part that gets less than it needs simply doesn’t work.
Signals are tiny
Logic parts (switch, timer, AND/OR, blocker, memory cell) only need a small signal on their control inputs: 1 is enough.
Read the real number
Look at a wire or port with the wire tool to see the power it carries. Allow +1 for each logic part to be safe.
About the numbers: they come from the PC version. Console is said to match with small differences, but its numbers were never published, so check with the wire tool in game. Double 11 once said longer wires need more power on console. That isn’t confirmed, but if a far-away part stays off, check the number reaching it.

- 0
- A full charge lasts
- about 38–100 min
- In the day more comes in than you use, so the batteries stay topped up.
- At night solar makes 0, so the batteries carry everything until morning.
- From empty, with nothing switched on, a full charge takes about 9–25 min at best (batteries keep about 80% of what comes in).
- Small battery: newer PC numbers say 15 out and 400 stored, older ones 10 and 150. Console may use either: check with the wire tool.
It counts everything as switched on at once. PC numbers: console is said to match with small differences. Look at a wire with the wire tool in game to see the real number.
